Are you interested in registering for an online course?
Online 课程 offer the convenience 和 flexibility of participating in a course without a formal schedule or location. However, it does require a unique set of skills 和 学习风格s. 在您注册之前, you should be confident that your study habits, 学习风格, 和 computer skills match the online learning environment.
Therefore, if you are new to online 课程, you are 要求 to enroll in NLC's free Orientation to 在线学习 mini-course (OLRN).

I need to register, but I cannot?
You should be able to register for OLRN within the time frame of the semester. However, it is suggested that students register for OLRN prior to the first day of the semester. For any reason, or if you have a 保持注册 和 cannot register for OLRN, please reach out to 学术顾问. They will be able to assist you in registering. For more information, visit the 学术建议页面. I thought I completed OLRN, but my instructor states I did not?
这是一个常见的问题. There are a few things you can do.
- Remind the instructor that there is an OLRN column in the ACES Classlist. 如果一个 Y appears, then that student has completed the course.
- 如果一个 Y does NOT appear, you can log into Canvas 和 select the “课程按钮. 到底部，选择"所有的课程.” This will show you all the past 课程 you have enrolled in. Find the OLRN class 和 print out your final grades showing a score of 80% or higher.
- If neither of those options works 和 you are certain you have taken OLRN before, 你可以发电子邮件到 nlc-dlc@ahriya.net. 请提供 全名 和 横幅ID 和 inform us that you have tried the above two options.
